Sports have a powerful way of helping us learn life lessons in a fun environment, while developing our coordination, stamina, strength, and the ability to work with others. Choose from one of these camps and spend a week learning the basics of a new sport, or sharpening your skills in a sport you already love.

Lower School Soccer Camp
Spend a week improving your skills at the world’s most popular team sport.

Lower School/Middle School Boys’ Lacrosse Camp
At Waterford, the home of Utah’s very first High School Lacrosse Program, join us for a fun camp prepared for the beginning and intermediate player.

Lower School/Middle School Girls Lacrosse Camp
Join us for Girls’ Lacrosse Camp at Waterford, which has one of the richest lacrosse traditions in Utah.

Middle School Golf Camp
There is nothing like golf for getting outdoors and rising to meet a new challenge every time you approach the ball! It teaches both physical skills and mental toughness.

LS and MS Basketball Camp
The weather is always great in the gym! Up your game in this exciting, ultimate team sport, as you learn from Waterford’s beloved coach, Ryan Judd and his talented assistants.

Middle School Girls’ Volleyball Camp
Get ready for the fall season at Waterford! Join Coach Jessica Judd and her crew to improve your passing, blocking, spiking, serving, setting, and defense skills.

MS Crew Camp
Few young people have had the opportunity to learn to row with a team. This camp gives you the chance to be outside, test your endurance, and see how to work in harmony with friends to propel the boat forward.

Lower School Volleyball Camp
For girls or boys entering grades 3-6 who would like to experience this fun, fast-paced sport. Learn the basic skills, the rules, and the excitement of volleyball from Waterford’s Varsity Head Coach, Taran Hall and her staff.

Young Explorers Hiking Camp, 3rd-5th
Grass-stained knees, wildflower crowns, and dusty trails seem a little distant in the chill of February, but have no fear! Sun-drenched, nature-rich opportunities await. For five straight days, meet brave leaders Jazmyn Card and Sadie Brower in the cool hours of the morning to take a hike and explore. Each day is a new location, with new adventures waiting for you and your friends

Fishing Camp
Join our Building Supervisor and outdoor enthusiast Camilo Castillo to master the basics of rod and reel fishing. Spend the first two days on campus, learning about angling safety, how to use the equipment, basic anatomy and the habits of fish. We will then try our new skills first at a local pond, then at a lake, and finally in a mountain stream.

Tumbling
Spend a week improving your balance and flexibility and rhythm, pushing your limits, and learning the basic skills of tumbling and cheer from Coach Katelynn Halpren.

Middle School SCUBA Certification
The course covers basics of scuba diving techniques, safety, and equipment use. Participants will learn about pressure, dive tables, respiration and planning. This course emphasizes lifelong fitness and wellness concepts. Participants need to be comfortable in the water and able to stay afloat for ten minutes.

Upper School Boys/Girls Golf Camp
A camp for those interested in or planning to play with Waterford’s Men’s or Women’s golf teams in 2023-2024 or beyond. Work each day with our experienced, dynamic coaches, Jeff Instefjord and Kory Carpenter, to improve your technique, skill, stamina, and mental game. Meet each morning at Waterford at 8:00 am and travel together by bus to the course.

SCUBA Explorers
Learn the basics of SCUBA with Waterford teacher, Becky Modderman, and her friends at Neptune Divers. Get your SCUBA Explorer and Snorkel Explorer ratings, and much more working in a warm, heated pool.
