About Our Middle School Crew Camp
Few young people have had the opportunity to learn to row with a team. Waterford, Utah’s first and only high school crew, has been teaching young people to row since 2002. Waterford high school rowers participate in regattas all around the country. This summer’s camp gives incoming 7th through 9th graders the chance to learn all about it, to be outside, test their endurance, and see how to work in harmony with friends to propel the boat forward. Rowing provides a beautiful combination of strength, skill and collaboration. Come and learn the basics with Waterford’s head crew coach, Dan Salerno and Olympian Micah Boyd and their assistants, and have a fantastic week working both out on the water and here on campus. We will use our new team location along the Jordan River Canal. Transportation to the site will be provided in a Waterford School bus.
There are two sessions, July 15-18, and August 5-8. You can sign up for either or both of them. Note that these are both four-day camps, Monday-Thursday.
