Lower School Chess Camp
About Our Summer Chess Camp
Chess trains the mind and stimulates the intellect. It’s a game we can play all our lives, almost anywhere. At our summer chess camp, come learn from a chess master, our own Alexander Gustafsson, who has extensive experience teaching chess to children. He makes it fun and really helps students progress. He knows the right way to challenge and encourage every level of player. Open to students entering grades 1-5. There are sessions in Weeks 4, 5, and 6.
Note that week 4 is designed for absolute beginners (normally incoming Class I. Week 5 is for intermediate/recreational player, and Week 6 is only for advanced students (K-5th) who have been approved by Mr. G (alexandergustafsson@waterfordschool.org).
