Forest & Garden Nature Connection
About Our Forest/Garden Camp
Join legendary Early Childhood teacher Kristie Jensen and her staff for a week of coming to love and understand nature, enjoy being outside, and understand more about where our food comes from. Meet on campus in our school’s arboretum, and take some field trips (via Waterford school bus) to a local garden and to forested areas. Our teachers have special training in the forest school approach and will lead the children in nature-based songs, rhymes, storytelling, gardening, food prep skills, plant, animal and insect observation, nature crafts, sensory awareness games, and outdoor cooking. Childhood joy, wonder, and friendship will flourish outside!
The two weeks of this camp will be similar, though children can come to either session or both. |
