About Our Intro to Java (for Waterford Computer Science credit) Class
Description: This short summer term intensive course is a broad foundational introduction to the discipline of computer science through the Java programming language. Students will learn the basics of Java with an “objects first” approach to programming and problem solving. Students will become acquainted with both primitive and reference types and use them to write programs involving logical arguments such as boolean expressions and loops. Emphasis will be placed on event-driven programming methods, including creating and manipulating objects and classes. No prior programming experience is required. This course fulfills the one required Computer Science credit for graduation and prepares students well for the AP Computer Science A course. Taught by: Tim Sebring
The course may be repeated for additional credit.
